Topic

OpenCL is a standard for heterogeneous programming, with implementations provided by nVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Apple, Altera, and many others. An OpenCL application can portably target multi-core CPUs, GPUs, and compute clusters. Behind the OpenCL API is a programming model and unspoken philosophy, which provide a framework for all OpenCL applications. AJ will outline this model and philosophy, along with the potential impact of OpenCL 2.0. He will also discuss his vision for the future of OpenCL, and outline his proposed amendments to the OpenCL specification.
